On April 11th 2009, I decided to work for one year as a freelance journalist. I have no other income except from what I write for publications. The economic pressure to get a part-time job is strong as my money runs out, and I'm a wicked procrastinator. Yet cheques do arrive once in a while...

Freelance Days: Other Jobs II

Couple of job opportunities have come and gone (two interviews for one job, no interview for the other). I'll be waiting until the end of next week on a third. Would be a good one, right up my alley in a few ways.

I guess I'm back at the writing, after a couple of super slacker days, but a couple of assignments came my way. On Wednesday I covered the declaration of "Year of the Métis" that was formalized in the Saskatchewan legislature. Doing another story on a documentary that screen next week in Fort Qu'Appelle. I had a great 20 minute interview with the director this morning. And next week I've got 1,200 words to submit on a race car driver.

Well, I'm off to the gym. Joined the Y and I work out three times a week. Feels pretty good.
